Times of Tradition - #2

I'm a week behind on our tradition posts. Life is just a little busy around here! Sorry if you were waiting for it and thanks for the kick in the behind S, S, & S! I'm going to put up this week's and last week's so I'm back on track! Don't forget to pop over to Heather's and see the Whittaker's traditions!

Tradition#2:

This is a newer tradition for the Paul family, but it is one we really sink our teeth into! The cookie exchange!
Guess what cookie I made 6 dozen of this year? Heather's winner! (click the photo to find out what I mean) A friend invites several ladies to the exchange. We each bake 6 dozen. When we exchange, each of us ends up with a variety of 6 dozen others to take home.
I love this not just for the practicality of it, but for the Relational aspect. It's always a time for catching up. Many of us don't see each other often throughout the year, so this is our chance to find out what has been going on since we last saw one another. We leave our kids with the husbands, and we laugh, & eat & chatter! So much fun! & Yummy!

My waistline is thankful it only rolls around once a year!

Wow, that is absolute genius! I'll have to do that next year. My mother-in-law would be so proud. :)
